Push-pull cable core mainly consists of a central steel wire and outer galvanized or stainless steel wire (strand), because the central steel wire with a relatively large diameter of the oil tempered steel wire produced by a special heat treatment process. Thus, it can achieve the purpose of pushing and pulling in the process of maneuvering.

 

The structural design of push and pull cores is designed to meet specific mechanical property requirements to ensure their effective operation in automotive control cable assemblies. This design not only takes into account the basic properties of the core, such as small bending radius, large bending angle for mating conditions, low sliding resistance, high load efficiency, low ineffective stroke, etc., but also pays special attention to long-term reliability. Specifically, the composition of the push-pull core includes

Wire rope: The wire rope consists of a core wire and a number of side strands evenly distributed around the circumference of the core wire. The difference between the diameter of the core wire and the diameter of the side strands is not more than twice, and this design helps to realize the performance requirements mentioned above. 

Coating: The performance of the push-pull core is further enhanced by the design feature that the coating is applied to the outside of the wire rope and the outer surface is ribbed in the axial direction.

In addition, the production and application of push-pull cores require specific metal materials and process parameters, such as the use of 0.60 mm 70 steel wire as the outer material with a tensile strength of 1770 to 1960 MPa, and the use of specific process parameters such as predeformation center distance, replacement tooth number ratio, motor voltage and winding torque, to ensure the quality and production efficiency of the core.
