The fire prevention measures for switches and sockets mainly include the following eight aspects:

A. select the right type, that is, select the appropriate switch and socket according to the total capacity of household appliances and the specific use environment. For places with high humidity, the fire-proof switch and pull wire switch shall be selected; for places with corrosive substances or large dust, the switch and socket shall not be installed indoors, but outdoors; for places with burning and explosion risks, the fire-proof or explosion-proof switch and socket shall be selected;

B. matched fuse shall be selected for knife switch. It is not allowed to change arbitrarily, especially to thicken the melt, and it is not allowed to replace the fuse with copper, aluminum, iron and other metal wires.

C. the rated current and voltage of switches and sockets shall be consistent with the actual power consumption. Do not overload at will, so as to avoid fire caused by short circuit caused by burning bakellite due to line overload;

D. the single pole switch shall control the fire (phase) line and shall not be connected to the zero line. Otherwise, if the human body contacts the stacking wire, it will also cause an electric shock accident. Once the live wire is grounded, there will be short circuit or even fire;

E. when the lamp socket is overloaded, it is prone to accidents. Therefore, it is not allowed to connect iron, electric furnace, air conditioner and other high-power electrical appliances into lamp socket for use, so as to avoid fire;

F. in case of going out, sleeping or sudden power failure, the power supply shall be cut off in time, especially for electric appliances.

G. the switch and socket shall be installed in a dry, clean and dust-free position as far as possible, so as to avoid the fire caused by bakelite breakdown and short circuit caused by damp corrosion;

H. after the switch and socket are aged and damaged, they shall be repaired and replaced in time.
