Steel wire sleeve plug gauge (also known as ST plug gauge) is used to check whether the tapping size of bottom hole of steel wire sleeve is qualified. This plug gauge can be divided into three types: common coarse teeth, fine teeth and pipe threads. Thread plug gauges with pitch of 0.35 mm or less, 2-level accuracy and accuracy higher than 2-level, and 3-level accuracy with pitch of 0.8 mm or less have no end probes!
When installing the steel wire screw sleeve, drilling and tapping are required according to the specified bit. How to check whether the size of the bottom hole of the steel wire screw sleeve is qualified? We will use steel wire plug gauge to test. The two ends of the plug gauge of the steel wire screw sleeve are the general gauge and stop gauge respectively. Generally, check with the general gauge first to see if the bottom hole can pass completely, and then check with the stop gauge to see if it can stop at the second tooth.
