How do I know if my USB port is 1 or 2?

You can determine the type of USB port on your computer by checking the Device Manager on your computer.  Here are the steps:
1.  Press the Windows key + X, then click on "Device Manager" from the list that appears.
2.  In the Device Manager window, click on the arrow next to "Universal Serial Bus controllers" to expand the list.
3.  In this list, if you see "USB Universal Host Controller", this typically refers to USB 1.1.  If you see "USB Enhanced Host Controller", this usually refers to USB 2.0.
4.  You can also right click on each USB controller, select "Properties", then go to the "Advanced" tab.  It should specify the USB version there.
This method is not always 100% accurate, as it depends on how the manufacturer of your computer has chosen to label the devices.
Another way to check is by looking at the physical USB port itself.  USB 1.0 and 2.0 look identical, but USB 3.0 ports are usually blue on the inside.However, not all manufacturers follow this color-coding system.
