Brief introduction

These DTH bits (down the hole button bits) are hot pressed and undergo a combination of heat treatments, thus guaranteeing the good quality and longevity. The diameters range from 60mm to 700mm.

The shanks can be Cop series, like COP32, cop34, cop44, cop54, cop64, COP84. DHD series, like DHD3.5, DHD350, DHD340, DHD360, DHD380. QL series, like QL40, QL60.QL80. SD series, SD4, SD5, SD6, SD8, CIR series, like CIR65, CIR70, CIR80, CIR 90, CIR110, CIR110W, CIR150, CIR170, CIR200W etc.

TYPES OF INSERT
SPHERICAL
Is an insert with a dome in the shape of a half sphere with D/2 radius. RANGE: 7/16" - 3/4" diameter. Recommended for hard and abrasive ground.
BALLISTIC
Is an insert with a dome in a shape of a bullet. ?RANGE: 7/16" - 3/4" diameter. Recommended for soft and homogeneous ground where high drilling speeds are achieved.

The most important component of drilling in limestone is maintaining a high penetration rate of the drill string; due to drilling and blasting being the first step in the production process. Limestone is generally homogeneous, relatively soft, and has lowabrasion characteristics, making total footage less sought after when compared to high penetration rates. The characteristics of limestone present problems to a DTH hammer over time. Excessive wear on internal components will not necessarily prevent the hammer from operating, but it will cause the penetration rate to reduce considerably.
