Advantages of Diesel Engines For IVECO Vehicle:

First-class design: Classic design of Sofim engine introduced completely from fiat Italy and granted for several international patents, design of cylinder head with overhead cast aluminum camshaft, structure of framework of upper & lower cylinder block, and unique design of accessory case with integration of VE pump, vacuum booster pump, power steering pump, which make Sofim engine have advantages of low fuel consumption, low emission, small size, and low weight, in four of the vehicle arrangement.

3. Optimal configuration: All critical parts of SOFIM engines are supplied by the world famous suppliers of components. The core part of engine-injection pump adopts the VE distributor pump and high-pressure common rail injection pump designed by Bosch German. The turbo-charger is the quality products of Honewell (Shanghai) and Ishikawajima Turbo-charger Co. Ltd., which ensure the emission of SOFIM engine at level Euro II and Euro III with reasonable application.
4. Strong power: The powers of 2.8 TCA engine and high-pressure common rail engine with electronically-controlled injection are increased to 87KW 118HP and 107KW 146HP respectively and the torques can reach 269 Nm and 320 Nm. They have high performance of acceleration being of the strongest power among the local diesel engines of the same displacement.
5. High reliability: The localized SOFIM engines have passed the intensive test and reliable test of 2000 hours in the testing
center of IVECO Italy, and have no overhaul for 800,000 km and 1 million km usually.
6. Environment-friendly: With low noise and emission, and being certificated by the State Car Quality Surveillance & Inspection Center, and the Jinan Auto Inspection Center, SOFIM engine can comply with the emission standards of level Euro II, and pass the qualification of conformity. The diesel engine of high power and meeting the emission level Euro III was launched successfully at the end of 2003, and certificated by the authority organization.
