TE-GL1 Old Elevator Modernization Solution by Monarch

GL is a gearless traction elevator model with a smaller machine room, primarily for low to mid rise residential, commercial and office buildings. It is made by thyssenkrupp Elevator China since the 2000s, and is only sold in Asia Pacific. In China, it is known as TE-GL. There was also TE-GL1, but the difference between this and the regular GL model is not known.
The model was available in the region (including Australia) until 2018 or possibly 2019 when it was succeeded by thyssenkrupp's new models meta100 and meta200. As of 2020, GL is still available in China (where it is considered as a "legacy product" by thyssenkrupp), Hong Kong and Taiwan until 2021. All other markets are now selling the meta100 and meta200 models. The GL was, at one time, also available in South Korea as GL1, which was manufactured by thyssenkrupp Elevator Korea (it could also be exported to other countries).
