White Granular Polyacrylamide is a water-soluble polymer produced by aqueous solution polymerization or inverse emulsion polymerization. It appears as white or off-white irregular granules or fine powder, with a particle size of 0.5–2 mm, solid content of 88%–90%, and molecular weight ranging from 6 million to 25 million.

Using acrylamide monomer as the main raw material, it is manufactured through polymerization, granulation, drying, grinding, sieving and packaging. It features a regular linear molecular structure, excellent water solubility and remarkable viscosity effect.

According to ionic characteristics, it is classified into four series: Anionic, Cationic, Non-ionic and Amphoteric. It is a key functional polymer widely used in water treatment, petroleum recovery, papermaking and mineral processing.

Product Applications

White Granular Polyacrylamide is mainly used in water treatment:
?
- Anionic PAM: Widely applied in coal washing wastewater, mine tailings sedimentation, steel plant circulating water treatment and rapid flocculation of river silt.
- Cationic PAM: Suitable for sludge dewatering in municipal wastewater plants, papermaking sludge and food industry organic sludge treatment via belt filter press, centrifuge and plate-and-frame filter press, greatly improving cake solid content and dewatering efficiency.

In petroleum recovery, it serves as an oil-displacing agent for EOR (Enhanced Oil Recovery), improving the oil-water mobility ratio and increasing crude oil recovery by 10%–25%. It is also used as a drilling fluid filtrate reducer, fracturing fluid thickener and water plugging profile control agent.

In papermaking, it acts as a retention and drainage aid to improve filler and fine fiber retention, enhancing paper uniformity and strength. As a white water flocculant, it recovers fibers and fillers, reducing COD and SS in wastewater.

In mineral processing, it accelerates flocculation and solid-liquid separation of copper, iron, gold and other mine tailings, improving recycled water utilization.

It is also applied in textile sizing, coating thickening, construction grouting, soil improvement and gel material preparation.
