There are mainly three types of lacquer resin applied either to the inner side of steel drum or on outer outside of drum closure. Phenolics, epoxy phenolics and PVF, while there is also top side lacquered on steel drum plugs for extreme environmental conditions.

There are golden brown, green and golden yellow etc lacquered, those are from selections of PPG2088, DuPont R78433, Axalta, RDL, Resco lacquer or their substitutes.
